Red Carpet Oscar Dresses and Their Cheap Chic Celebrity Inspired Looks for Less
First Look at the 2012 Oscars Fashion Look for Less
It’s that time again…. we’ve done the highs, snarked at the lows, recapped the beauty, made a few pre-Oscar predictions, and have been inside out and up and down with Oscars 2012.
But there is one last thing that we haven’t put our red carpet finger on…
And that is to bring you the hot-out-of-the-design-room-sketches of the, drumroll please, celebrity inspired red carpet Oscar dresses for less.
Yes, those celebrity inspired red carpet dresses come in with an affordable price tag for everyone, all expertly tweaked and designed by Faviana once again.
Get ready for your next evening affair, prom, or a fun little dress because the red carpet can be yours with these celebrity inspired looks. The fashionistas at Faviana tell me that the dresses will be available in 8 – 10 weeks and with very affordable price tags ranging from $298 to $450.
Penelope Cruz wore a custom Giorgio Armani organza evening gown in ethereal blue and grey hues to resemble a stormy sky. The Armani gown features dramatic off-the-shoulder straps and a fitted bodice. The waist is enveloped by a drape of fabric that cascades into gathered pleats, causing an understated, luminescent liquid effect.
The Penelope Cruz Oscar inspired Iridescent chiffon by Faviana will be available in sizes 2-16 in periwinkle blue.
Cameron Diaz, in her Gucci gown, spoofed a bootie pose with Jennifer Lopez on the Oscar stage.
The Cameron Diaz Oscar inspired strapless ivory and gold chiffon gown by Faviana in sizes 0-14 will have your bank account jumping for joy; posing optional.
Rose Byrne looked stunning in a better than black midnight gown by Vivienne Westwood.
The Rose Byrne Oscar inspired one-shoulder dark navy sequin gown by Faviana will be available in sizes 0-14. I’ll bet on this gown as a hot little timeless number you will always want to wear for years to come.
Missi Pyle wore an eco-friendy acqua gown designed by Valentino Delfino. Frankly, not my favorite chirpy color.
However, the Missi Pyle Oscar inspired ruched Chiffon celebrity lookalike gown by Faviana comes in a more subdued shade of turquoise for sizes 0-16.
And as far as Angelina Jolie and her ridiculous jutting leg goes, one of my arty friends was quick to point out that she copied the dress and pose from John Singer Sargent’s 1884 painting of Madame X that hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
