The famous mirrored staircase where Coco Chanel
used to sit and watch her fashion shows. She could see everything that
was going on through the offices by the reflections in the mirrors:
Katy Perry (and her incredible blue hair) attended many of the shows in Paris. Here she is looking for her seat at Chanel:
Here are some half-shoe/half-booties and a sparkly bag on the Chanel runway:
You see something inspirational or beautiful everywhere you look in Paris. This is the window display at one of my favorite antique jewelry shops that's right near my hotel:
Asparagus and leek souffle for dinner. We definitely eat well during fashion week in Paris!
Followed by salted caramel souffle for dessert.
The jeweler Eddie Borgo on the balcony of his Palais Royale apartment. He showed an incredible collection inspired by New York’s underground:
Gratuitous Eiffel Tower shot:
The Louis Vuitton show was a highlight of the week. Each model was followed by a porter carrying her incredible handbags and luggage:
There are photographers outside every show trying to capture the looks of all the stylish people as they walk into shows. Some people really dress up in some crazy outfits trying to get their picture taken. Here is Glamour’s Style Director, Melissa Ventosa Martin, getting her photo taken. She was in a minimal casual chic look:
Here's a detail shot of the new bow heels at Nicholas Kirkwood. He’s opening his first US store in NY this month:
Olympia Le Tan—who's known for her charming “book” bags—showed clothing for the first time. We all huddled in the kitchen of a gorgeous museum as models with Bettie Page wigs removed their layers until they were dressed only in 1940s style lingerie:
I love this green shoe with mirrored heel from YSL. It's on my must-have list for Fall! Wish I didn’t have to wait so long for it.
A few seasons ago Celine started the craze of clutches and pouches as everyday bags. Here is an updated version for Fall in white fur.
What were some of your favorite moments from Fashion Week? Souffle for dinner and dessert, anyone?
