Here is part 2 of the India Fashion Week post, as promised. There were so many incredible shows this year that it's hard to pick just one. I will admit that Manish Arora (*gasp!*) was not my favorite. As much as I love Manish, I think his circus theme, although highly entertaining and true to his eccentric style, was a bit campy. I was hoping for more psychedelic and less clown-like.
At the top of my list is Prashant Verma, what an amazing journey into the future! Prashant formerly worked for McQueen, Galliano and Manish Arora, and launched his own label in 2006. His use of metallics, intricate prints and cyborg detail, make his clothes cool and futuristic, while still being wearable.
Have a favorite? :)
Love All Around,
Cara Mia
Anita Dongre
Nitin Bal Chauhan
Vikram Phadnis
Hemant and Nandita
Paras and Shalini
Prashant Verma
Manish Arora
